Barbara Palvin, the world-famous Hungarian supermodel, was announced to become an official Victoria’s Secret Angel. She is the first Hungarian to receive the title.
The Hungarian celebrity announced the news on her Instagram account – reports NlCafe. This is Palvin’s first modelling job of this magnitude, definitely a milestone in her career. Not to mention how significant this is for the Hungarian modelling world, as no Hungarian has been asked to join the Victoria’s Secret Angels – until Palvin.
The 25-year-old had to keep the news a secret for months, but she finally revealed it this week on her social media sites. She expressed how proud she was to represent Hungary. International stars who held the title as well include Claudia Schiffer and Tyra Banks, for example.
She also revealed that this had been a dream of hers from a long time ago. At age 13, she saw a Victoria’s Secret fashion show and dreamt to be among them one day. Palvin also added that this title could not have come at a better time, as she finally feels happy about her body and herself.
She also revealed that she had been in Hungary when she got the call, and she immediately phoned her boyfriend, Dylan Sprouse. Then, at half past 5 in the morning, she ran down to her parents’ bedroom and shared the big news with them.
“My mum cried a little bit, and my dad fist-bumped my shoulder, like he usually does”
– Palvin revealed to People magazine.
